Banana Bread

Moist, sweet, and packed with banana flavor. The best way to use ripe bananas.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup (76g) butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (55g) walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas, then stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda, salt, and cinnamon over the mixture and stir in.
  5. Add the flour and mix just until no streaks of flour remain, then fold in the walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 55-65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
